  1. Kia ora Dakbai and welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme. We are so excited that you have joined us this year!

We are also really impressed by all of the facts that you have posted about the nature of sunshine in New Zealand. It really is very powerful, isn't it? Sometimes I forget just how powerful it is and go outside without my hat only to end up with a sunburn. You are very wise to suggest that we wear a shirt, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen every time that we are out in the sun.

I hope that you will continue to post great blogs about New Zealand. For a list of the Winter Learning Journey activities, please visit the Winter Learning Journey site: Winter Learning Journey website

On the site you will find a tab called 'Weekly Activities' that has 21 different activities on it. Please choose one that you like and post your answer on this blog site. We'll be sure to check out your site again tomorrow to see if you've had time to post a blog!

Until then, I hope that you are staying warm and dry. The weather is pretty wet and wild, isn't it? Sadly, there is no sunshine in sight...

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
